How to Wash a Human Hair Lace Wig

They are worth the price even though some of the human hair lace wigs are with more expensive price like some blonde full lace wigs or pre-colored wigs with tint color. These kinds of lace wigs are made from real hair so it’s more natural than synthetic wigs which looks really plastic and fake. Human hair wigs need to be washed regularly in proper way to ensure it will keep in good condition and last longer. So how to wash a human hair lace wig at home? Just see these following steps to get some tips.

One

Comb your wig from the top. First, gently comb the end of the wig. Once they stop knotting, climb up to the root until you can brush or comb them without tripping. Brush straight or wavy wigs with wire wigs, and comb wigs with wide-toothed combs or fingers.

Fill your sink with cold water and stir 1 – 2 times to squeeze shampoo. Use a high-quality shampoo that suits the type of hair you want to wash. For example, if you are shampooing a curly hair, you can use a special shampoo for curling hair. If you know your wig has been dyed, try a shampoo that is color safe. You don’t apply shampoo directly to wig fibers. Instead, wash your wigs with soapy water. Soak the wig for 5 minutes.

Rinse the wig with cold water until the shampoo is clean. You can wash wigs in buckets filled with fresh cold water, or in sinks or showers. Depending on the thickness of the wig, you may need to rinse it twice. Apply conditioner to your wig. Just drop some conditioner on your hair and gently brush it with your fingers. If your wig is a lacy front wig or a ventilated wig, be sure to avoid wearing a wig cap. Then wash the lace wig again and again, and hang it up to dry.
